Blog Social networking

It 21st century - the century of information and telecommunication technologies. Many organizations specializing in one or another computer technology branches have emerged since this is the most relevant and forward direction. On the one hand, platforms such as Snapchat, Instagram, and Facebook allow people to stay connected without directly communicating. Less harm is done to the environment. It is more comfortable and more convenient to store a large amount of information in electronic form. According to the article called "Social, Networking Technology Boosts Job Recruiting" by Frank Langfitt discusses the advantage of having social media on LinkedIn and recruiting people. Maureen Crawford-Hentz is someone who recruits people for Osram Sylvania; she says, "Social networking technology is absolutely the best thing to happen to recruit -- ever." LinkedIn allows recruiters to search for someone that can be the best fit for their company's role, and recruiters can find an employee in a short amount of time. It should be noted that all these platform Information technologies, firmly entrenched in our lives, also made our life more comfortable.

On the other hand, humanity is becoming more and more dependent on technology. Many people cannot even imagine what they will do if, for example, they forget their phone at home; this is equated to a tragedy. There is a significant number of those who kill time on social networks, live communication is replaced by a set of letters on the computer, and emoticons replace gestures and facial expressions. Yes, this is good for those who are far from each other, or for some other reason, they cannot physically see each other. But we abuse such benefits because living in the neighborhood, we communicate through the network and devices. People just stopped visiting and only seeing each other. Another concern raised is privacy. According to the article called "Facebook Privacy Is So Confusing Even the Zuckerberg Family Photo Isn't Private" by Rebecca Greenfield, Facebook cannot be trusted, and privacy settings are confusing. Mark Zuckerberg is the CEO of Facebook. His sister Randi thought she was sharing her picture with her Facebook friends only; however, her pictures went every where on the internet. So if it private, why did it go around the whole internet?

And in conclusion, I would like to note and highlight one important criterion that plays an important role in our life: everything is in our hands. How much we will be dependent on the technology- we determine ourselves. A person himself decides what to spend time on, how to live life. And suppose we use tech and other benefits only for useful purposes and in moderation. In that case, life will become easier not only for us, but also for future generations, and they will not have to suffer from our carelessness and laziness.
